Welcome to TERM 4 of NETBALL!

Coming in to the busy end of the year- we have lots of important updates to keep your family calendar running smoothly!

1️⃣.  Round 3 Fixtures were released on Netball Connect today. We appreciate everyones flexibility with the surprise we faced of new time slots across U13-18s this season. This is mainly due to umpire shortages.

2️⃣.  EDNA are hosting umpire workshops to help build the umpire workforce for 2025.
If your teen is looking for a part time job, be sure to attend a session to learn more about becoming an umpire! https://www.jotform.com/242657… and stay tuned on the EDNA socials.

3️⃣. Training starts back this Wednesday- what a pleasure daylight savings brings to Wednesday nights at Aberfeldie!

4️⃣. The ESSENDON NETBALL CLUB AGM is on Thursday 24th October – click on the paperclip icon above to access the Notice & Nomination form. If you are interested in a role but would like to chat more, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Glenn Round, President, 0405736590.

5️⃣. 2025 Season – we have been notified of the exciting update to the EDNA Seasons for 2025.
Autumn Season will run for all of Term 1 & 2 and Spring Season will run for all of Term 3 & 4.
This means that registrations, grading, allocation of coaches & admin, will now be done PRIOR to Christmas to ensure we are reading to go in Week 1 of the school term. (Previously our seasons always started after Labor Day weekend in March). This change helps to bring us in line with other Netball Competitions in Melbourne.

6️⃣. SAVE THE DATE- Club Grading Day, Sunday 24th November 2025, 9am-1pm @ State Netball Centre Parkville. ALL players  (born 2015 and prior) are encouraged to attend their age groups time slot (TBC) on this day to be allocated to a team in 2025. More information will be provided in the next week regarding the structure of this day.  Kids born in 2016, 17, 18 are not required to attend. Stay Tuned!

7️⃣. EDNA have asked us to remind all teams that the AWAY TEAM SCORER must still stand in the middle of the black fence line with the HOME TEAM scorer who is using their NC app. This helps prevent any discrepancies and ensures both teams are actively engaged in the scoring.

8️⃣. Our lovely uniform co-ordinator Kate Anderson will be at training tomorrow night, set up near the front gate with training tops for all new players now available. Any online orders for other goods must be placed by 8pm tonight to ensure Kate can pack them ready for tomorrow.

THANKS and we hope everyone enjoys the next 8 rounds of Netball
