To our wonderful ENC community,

2025 is an exciting time for the club as we continue to build our teams entering into the Parkville competition and to see the expansion of the EDNA competition at Riverside which will now run for almost the whole school year!Ā

With these updates, our current waiting list and our growing player membership, we will be hosting aĀ Club Grading Day at Parkville on Sunday 24th NovemberĀ to help us prepare the teams to submit to the competition bodies which is due before Christmas.

At ENC, we strive to make netball enjoyable for all our players, but itā€™s equally important to build cohesive, well-balanced teams that work effectively together. ā€˜Nardelli Coachingā€™, a reputable external coaching group will be conducting the grading sessions for ENC for a seamless and enjoyable experience for all players. To learn more about Nardelli-Ā https://www.nardellicoaching.cā€¦

In previous years, we have completed club grading during our preseason in February over numerous Wednesday nights, however this is no longer possible due to change in season dates.

ALLĀ U13s-U17s PLAYERS WHOĀ WISHĀ TOĀ PLAYĀ IN 2025 Ā MUST complete the registration form for the Grading Day:

Given this is a new experience for many families, we have answered a list of frequently asked questions.

What do the players wear?

White-tshirt (logos are OK) and black shorts.Ā

Shorts are important as the coaches will write a number on the players legs to identify them.Ā

What happens if we canā€™t attend?

Whilst we would love if every player could attend, we understand you may have important plans. In this case, we will seek feedback from your coach and attend your EDNA games.

*PLEASE contactĀ juniors@essendonnetballclub.com.auĀ if you cannot attend.

When do registrations OPEN on Netball Connect?

EARLY BIRD: Monday 25th November

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ENDS: Friday 13th December

ALL REGISTRATIONS STRICTLY CLOSE: Sunday 12th JanuaryĀ

Is everyone that attends the grading day offered a place?

YES- We are an inclusive club and do not turn away any players that are keen to play Netball and complete registration. This day is simply about ensuring we have well balanced teams.

My child is nervous about attending, what support can you offer?

This is very standard practice for many clubs, whilst it may seem formal and different being at Parkville courts and not our regular Aberfeldie training courts, there will be plenty of familiar faces and players also feeling nervous about this new experience. The team at Nardelli Coaching are there to ensure everyone gets a fair go on court and has a great morning!

What do we need to bring?

Water bottle

Snack

Any required medications (Epi-pen, Asthma inhalers)
